Sean Danielsen-Food Chain

Well, it's here, finally.  A solid rock effort that we can all enjoy and learn

to love.  Sean has given us a "gift" and a relentless pursuit of excellent music, indeed.

With his second solo release, "Food Chain", his voice resonates so deeply with the listener and

fan.  You know him from the top-selling band, Smile Empty Soul.  However, you will

get to know him even better with his solo releases, "Enjoy The Process" and "Food Chain'.

The first single from "Food Chain", is the song "Rescue Me", which premiered on the Revolver

Magazine website not too long ago.  Wow, such strong lyrics in this one.  He lets loose, and never

looks back lyrically, and the guitar is so soothing and addicting, it's not funny.  Not one bit.

To me, the most solid track from the EP, is the third song, "Beautiful Things".  "Beautiful Things"

is so, well, beautiful, and reminds me of a classic Smile Empty Soul ballad, and it definitely rocks!

However, don't forget about the incredible tracks "Waves" and "Broken Bones and Skeletons".  This

effort is very, very good.  There is no, and cannot be, an excuse to not give this EP a shot.  You

can pre-order it on I-Tunes now for only $3.99.  You cannot go wrong.  If you are a fan of excellent

acoustic guitar, lyrically-laced tracks that give you chills, or simply great music-this one is for you!

I guarantee you will enjoy all five tracks with pleasure and pure smiles!!  Crank it up, rock out to it, and most of all, know that this music is for you!!  You can relate to this material very well, and I know that with songs like "Food Chain", and more, you will be able to dive into the EP without looking back.  Sean Danielsen, the Smile Empty Soul vocalist, lets loose, and never lets the fan or listener down in this release.  Pick up your copy at his upcoming solo tour, or online at your favorite

digital retailer on November 4th, 2014.  You will love this, period!

Pistol Day Parade-Burn

Pistol Day Parade have something to say, and if you give them the chance, you will experience the rock!  This band's incredible release, "Burn", showcases straight rock and some elements of grunge, if I say so myself.  My favorite track, is "Where I Lay".  The intro to this song sets it up to be a wonderful rocker, and that is what it indeed is!  They have more than just "Where I Lay" though.  The amped "Rockstar's Girlfriend", which clocks in as most of their tracks do, at about three and a half minutes, is another solid effort.  Of course, you then have to crank up another strong song in "Not Today".  Hailing from Detroit, this band is unique in the fact that they have a shot at a diverse fan base, and they prove to just that.  I know I typically review releases with a high rating, but to understand why, it's because I normally am presented with numerous albums to do, and if I at least "like" what I hear, then chances are that it will pan out.  Trust me, this release, "Burn" by Pistol Day Parade, will surely not disappoint the "more than" majority of you rockers out there!

Smile Empty Soul-False Alarm (Single)

Sean Danielsen is a busy man these days.  With a recent solo EP under his belt, and his band, Smile Empty Soul finishing up their current album, slated for an October 1st release, titled CHEMICALS, Sean and the gang are busy as hell!  Released through the ever growing company, Pavement Entertainment, which has lately become a powerhouse in the rock music world, this album seems to be ready to rock just as much as their previous ventures, if not harder.  "False Alarm", the first single off the record, slams hard in our faces.  Impacting radio around August 27th officially, the single is poised for a huge impact, and I believe it will be just that.  Loudwire, the site with music news, previews, and exclusives on the web, was the first to premiere the song stream in it's entirety, and I must say it caught me off guard.  The song holds the tune of their self-titled record, with the grit and angst, yet has the lyrical content of a new vibe that I thoroughly enjoyed myself.  "False Alarm" is an excellent song, with ambiguous traction, rage, and Sean's voice digs into your head with instant recognition that, Yeah, this is a Smile Empty Soul song.....for me, it's more like, "Hell fucking yeah!!".  Request this track on Sirius radio, your local radio stations, and anywhere else you want to, now, tomorrow, and next week.....you have to hear this, and the more it's played near you, the band will play near you.  Catch them on tour currently, doing shows with the artist known as Ra.  "False Alarm" is full steam ahead, and is definitely worth a listen!!  Check it out today!

Jettison Deathtrain-Fallen Kings

Cincinnati, Ohio is booming with bands lately, and Jettison Deathtrain is one of

the largest sparks to the that "booming".  The band, which pretty much well formed in the year 2009, has garnered a huge home fan base, and does not seem to be slowing down at any point soon.  Their latest release, FALLEN KINGS, in full of six dynamic track, including a close to forty-second interlude, that helps show us the "bridge" between styles of lyrical passion, and simple rock and roll.  Lead vocalist, Matt Cowherd, has one unique and strong voice, and many other bands can't compare.  Of course people always try to compare bands to the likes of Pearl Jam, Creed, Soundgarden, and other popular band from the days back then.  However, Jettison Deathtrain doesn't compare at all.  I mean, there are similarities of course, but one will find that with all artists, no doubt.  Jettison Deathtrain is on a path for success on a much higher level.  If you want to catch a show, ot buy an album, simply click a link below, and you will discover more information on just how to do that.  They are quite the incredible band!!  My favorite track on this six track effort has to be the song, "Falls Around You".  The song is quick, angry, catchy, and will lead to you placing that pedal to the medal.....(not recommended...lol).  Another few tracks that caught my attention were "Forever", and the lead track, "Babylon".  You have to grab this album today.....all tracks, even the intro in the album, are strong as hell, and these "Kings", aren't headed anywhere but up, help them tear Cincinnati up tonight, the tomorrow!!  Check them out for sure!!

One Gun Shy-After The Rain

One Gun Shy have a hit album on their hands, with AFTER THE RAIN.  The

release features the title track, "After The Rain", which runs over four minutes long, and is brilliantly laced together melodically and lyrically.  I enjoyed this track from the get-go.  I also find this to be my favorite of the thirteen track album.  The band, which just began in 2011, sounds to me like a mixture of Breaking Benjamin, Adam Gontier, Godsmack, Shinedown, and Metallica.  So, to put it mildly, it sounds like modern rock, lol.  The band  has a Hard Rock Café Release show set for April 27th, for AFTER THE RAIN this year, in 2013.  Anticipation is building, the fans are growing, and the website isn't even complete yet, but the craze is firing on all cylinders!!  The band is yet again, another fine rock product from Seattle, Washington.  Let's just hope the longevity of this band remains the same as Seattle's predecessor's and we can enjoy many years of great rock, and true talent!!  With other smash songs on this record like "I'll Take The Pain", "Answer To Choose", and "Hypnotized", you cannot go wrong with this at all!!  I trust, going digital all out with this release on I-tunes would be the way to go, no doubt!!  This is a true rocker, a definite hit!!  Tear shit up, do whatever you must, buy this album though, before or "after the rain".....:)

Allison Red-Allison Red

Oh wow, another treasure discovered on CDBaby.  I honestly saw a mere, 192k "leak"

of this record a few months back, but I refused to download it.  I had sampled it from some other site, and really enjoyed what I had heard.  These guys, though I have yet to see them live, are killer.  They recently performed with Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and I am sure they blew them out of the water, no disrespect to RJA though.  Allison Red have released them as a self-titled one, and a first single and video that's been in rotation is from the track, "Damn The Illusion".  Boy, that song shreds some air!  Lyrically, it is not their strongest though, however, this is a very strong lyrical band, I must admit.  My favorite cut off this record, is the song "Fractured".  My favorite lyrics in this song, and for that matter, the entire album, are; "....I'm still learning while pages burning, it's my decision I built this prison.  I'm longing for a change, but nothing's working.".  Those lyrics mean something to me personally, and I'd like to thank the band personally for that song and those words.  I've never met this band, yet I sure hope to one day.  Another excellent song is the first track off the record, cleverly titled, "All Is On Red".  This is a killer jam, and will lace you with a groove so infectious, a cure may never come your way!  The deepest, most darkest track on the self-titled release is the one they titled, "Red 313".  I'll keep this simple, but one line in that haunting track reads something along the lines of "....I'll even sell my soul in every dream, I want to be there together-but it's over with you...you've been taunting me....it's your demise...".  I highly recommend you "purchase" this CD at one of the links below, where available.  The floating around the internet, 192 k rip, sounds awful, and does not at all do this record, the vocals and lyrics, or band justice.  You can tell they worked hard on this record, and they deserve a great fanbase.  Definitely check this out!!
