Killswitch Engage is back, and this time they brought their original powerhouse vocalist with them. Jesse Leach, who voice tore through Killswitch Engage's early effort, ALIVE OR JUST BREATHING. Though, the band has been successful with a different singer along the way, there can be no denying from critics, or their fans, that with their latest single, "In Due Time", the band is as strong as ever. With powerful riffs, strong hooks, and brutal vocals, Jesse has moshpits twirling and bashing even right when the song is just beginning. There is little doubt that this summer will be the summer of metal, who needs Ozzfest, when you have these strong bands, these metal-laced strongholds, holding ground and marching on ? "In Due Time" is an indication as to what is to come on their new album, due out April 2nd of this year, 2013, that the "descent" is upon us!

AUBE.L-Stars In Your Scars
Aube l has a surprising, and incredible vocal range. The music grabs you instantly, and pulls your mind throughout realms of musical possibilities. With the latest effort, which came out late 2012, titled, THE STARS IN YOUR SCARS, the songs are more proof of the growth in the music. With sounds compared to the famous like of Muse, Radiohead, and Bjork, there couldn't be a brighter future for Aube l. The track from the newest effort, "Get Out", utters the lines of "no more confusion, get out! This is the limit of your love....". Obviously the track isn't a comfortable and cozy up love song. Other songs that stand out, to me, are "Stars In Your Scars", "Hi Love, Hi Life", and my favorite track of the eight song effort would have to reason to be, "I Promise To Myself". That song has all the ingredients of a hit, either in the USA, France, or any country that is savoring music right now. If you can access Spotify, get a listen, grab up the album digitally at a link below, you'll truly and purely enjoy this well-rounded masterpiece.

Trapt-Reborn
There has been a lot of "overhype" about this record being overproduced and sounding like shit. I can promise you, it sounds great. The fact that the lead vocalist, the man running things, Chris Brown (not the woman beater), only adds to the power of this album. First, you get the raw brutality of "Bring It". The song that never gets old is "Love Hate Relationship"", which ironically follows as track number two. If you're lucky enough to obtain the deluxe edition, you acquire acoustic versions of smash hits from the REBORN effort, and the rare classic, "Avelyn". This, to me, is likely the second best Trapt album released so far. The first, being the timeless, SOMEONE IN CONTROL,which featured the pulsating hit, "Stand Up". REBORN also features the catchy tune, "Strength in Numbers", and the final track on the standard edition, titled, "You're No Angel". Both songs resonate with authority, and leave their musical marks. I recommend this album to any rock fan, Trapt fan, alternative fan, or even a new rock fan, because this will indeed, grab your attention.

Bullet For My Valentine-Temper Temper
Overall the album is better than expected, I was afraid to listen at first because of the 2 terrible singles. "Breaking Point" is a great opener but could have been more intensive and lyrically better. "Truth Hurts" is probably my favorite track on the album, awesome lyrics as well. "Temper Temper" still sounds like a raw, bad mixed demo song, don't like it. "P.O.W" is alright, good lyrics and stuff. "Dirty Little Secret" is weak, flat at first but when the solo comes in-just wow, good one. "Leech", my second fav, fast, and lyrically intensive. I wish there would be more tracks on the album like this. "Dead to the World" reminds me of Road to Nowhere, the solo is awesome! "Riot", meh not so good. "Saints & Sinners" is another highlight on the album, sounds like an outtake from Fever album but better, the solo part is epic! Well, well "Tears Don't Fall Part II". "Lets go again!" Fuck yea. The original is way better without any doubt, but lyrically as good as the original. The closer track, "Livin Life" is just simply good.
The solos are improved well, but I missing the melodies on the album, probably that's why this album is not that catchy nor memorable for me. If there would be more screams and better lyrics content, it would be my third favorite Bullet album, but comparing to the older materials, its the worst.

Cage9-How To Shoot Lasers From Your Eyes
Cage9 is a band that gets better with each release. Their latest, 2012's "How To Shoot Lasers From Your Eyes", shows an eclectic gathering of tunes with powerful hooks and melodies. Tracks such as the powerful "Archers Aim High", which ironically rounds out the album, show why this band is still standing strong. The smash hit, "Beg For Mercy", is so catchy, and has been on repeat more than a few times for me here at home. The song is available for single download as well, but for ten bucks or less, you can grab this entire 10-track album, and I suggest going that route. The music is diverse, the messages are clear, and you will learn how to even shoot lasers from your eyes! "Master Of Your Disaster", to me, is the best track on the album. The song has well-arranged lyrical content, and seems to not lack in any area of it's composition. The band recently put the physical copy back up on bandcamp, I suggest you grab either the digital or physical copy. My point being, this is one release that is not a waste of any amount of money :)
